The ground rules
Terms of Use
These terms explain what this site does, what it doesn't promise, and what we each agree to when you use it. Written in plain language, because terms should be readable too.
If there is a gas smell, a downed power line, or a risk of collapse, leave the area and call 911 first.
What this site does
This website is a referral service. It provides information about storm damage repair in the DeBary, Florida area and connects callers with independent local contractors. That is the entire service: a connection, not a repair.
By using this site — calling the number, submitting the callback form, or browsing the pages — you agree to these terms.
No warranties on contractor work
We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any contractor's work. We do not promise any result, timeline, price, or outcome from hiring a contractor you found through this site.
Any agreement for repair work is strictly between you and the contractor. We are not a party to it, we do not set their prices, and we are not responsible for the quality, timing, or completion of their work. If something goes wrong with a job, your recourse is with the contractor — including, where appropriate, Florida's licensing authorities.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice, insurance advice, engineering advice, or construction advice. The guides and FAQs are general information about storm damage topics, written to help you ask better questions — not to replace a licensed professional's judgment about your specific home.
For questions about your insurance policy, talk to your insurer or a licensed professional. For questions about permits or code, talk to the City of DeBary or Volusia County building departments.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for vetting any contractor before you hire them. In Florida, that means at minimum:
- Looking up their license at the state's official license search before signing anything.
- Asking for proof of insurance and checking that it is current.
- Getting the scope of work, price, and timeline in a written contract before work begins.
- Never signing away insurance claim rights or paying large deposits without understanding exactly what the paperwork means.
Our guide to choosing a storm repair contractor in Florida walks through this in more detail.
Limitation of liability
In plain terms: we provide this site and the connection service “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any contractor's work or failure to perform, any damage to your property, any costs or losses from a repair job, or any decisions you make based on this site's content.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.
Florida law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising from your use of this site will be handled under Florida law in the appropriate Florida courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site or the law changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms. The date below shows when this page was last revised.
